Webb Gardner is a Houston area native, freelance trombonist, and private educator. Additionally, Webb serves as the second trombonist of The Woodlands Symphony and plays with The Woodlands Concert Band as well.
Webb graduated from Oak Ridge High School in Conroe ISD. He attended San Jacinto College and studied under Karen Marston and would transfer to Stephen F. Austin State University to complete his Music Education degree and study trombone under Dr. Deb Scott. Upon completion of his undergraduate degree, Webb would then gain acceptance to the University of North Texas where he completed a Masters degree in Trombone Performance under the professorship of Vern Kagarice and Tony Baker.
Webb’s performance experience and accolades include being a three time principal chair of the TCCBDA All-State Symphonic Band, lead Baritone in the now-defunct Gulf Coast Sound Drum and Bugle Corps, and numerous top ensembles at SFA and UNT where he would perform classical, chamber music, and jazz. Webb spent several years private teaching in the DFW area and would perform regularly with the Carrollton Wind Symphony including an invitation with the ensemble to play at the Midwest Clinic. He was also a freelancer playing with several cover bands performing styles such as jazz, Top 40, and Cumbia.
