Football/Contest Schedule
Note: Fort Bend Band Night
is on Monday October 5th, not Tuesday October 6th.
I would like to
congratulate the Clements Band and Color Guard on a great
performance at the Alamodome on Tuesday. It was a pleasure to
watch them march their show in that venue with all the other
bands at the 5A State Marching Contest. It was a nice way to
finish out the marching season. And, once again, THANK YOU to
all the parents who accompanied us on the trip as drivers,
chaperones, pit crew, plumes, and manned the "feed stations" ,
as well as those who helped out behind the scenes getting us
packed and ready to go. What a great group! And I also want to
congratulate and thank our directors, Mr. Galloway. Mr. Johnson.
and Ms. Day, on a truly great show and a great season.

OMG!!!! What a great day the Band
and Color Guard had on Saturday at the Berry Center!!
Congratulations to all the students on making the Finals
and qualifying to go to State UIL and to the directors
for a job well done! We couldn't have asked for a better
day. Everyone put out their best efforts and the results
speak for themselves. My thanks goes to all the parents
who came out as Chaperones, Pit Crew, Plumes, and
General Help (who knew we'd need more Altoids?) You guys
are the best!!! And to the parents, families, and
friends who came out to cheer for our kids - you could
hear the excitement! It was wonderful to walk into the
stadium and hear that support! And WOW!! to Coach
Knowles and the Ranger Football Team who came to cheer
for our Band and Color Guard - it was totally awesome to
look up into those stands and see all of you! (and the
doughnuts were very much appreciated!) Thank you, Coach
Knowles!!
We have some busy days ahead of us with trips to
Duncanville and San Antonio. We will be needing lots of
help and support from everyone. Look for more
information here on the website and from the students.
For the San Antonio trip, since our band goes on in the
morning, we are looking for a block of rooms for Monday
night. If you are interested in reserving a room with
our group, please contact a Booster Club Board member
ASAP. We hope that as many supporters as possible will
come out for a fun-filled day to watch some great bands
compete and cheer our kids on. With all the excitement,
it's important for all students to keep clear heads and
focus on their scholastic activities and health so they
can compete in top form.
******Important Note------Since State UIL is scheduled
on November 4, You must remember to VOTE in EARLY
VOTING. Don't miss out! *****
Thank you everyone!

Wow, what a great day we
had Saturday at BOA. The band and guard
gave a great performance and I commend and
thank everyone on their positive attitude
and courteous manners throughout the whole
day. I think I can say without any hyperbole
that Clements had the best group of kids at
the contest (but maybe I'm a little biased).
And speaking of great attitudes, our
outstanding Directors, Chaperones, Pit Crew,
and Drivers deserve a huge round of
applause! Kudos to all of you for making it
an easy, relaxed, and fun trip! We couldn't
have done it with out you and it's a
privilege to work with y'all ! And a big
round of thanks also goes to the parents who
stepped in and helped with the impromptu
pizza party (thanks Nina for taking that
on!). Clements High School definitely has
the best group of boosters around!

| Message from Lorraine
Carey: To all new and returning parents and
students, welcome to another year with the award-winning
Clements High School Band and Color Guard. Despite the
rough start to our summer band camp with the weather
related delays, I hope everyone is ready to make this
another wonderful year. The Band and Color Guard program
at Clements High School has been successful for the past
25 years due to the dedication, hard work, and
motivation of our directors, students, and all of our
involved parents. The Booster Club has been hard at work
already this summer getting ready for the coming year,
and we are very excited about this year's program.
Thanks to all the parents who have worked hard in
getting us to this point, moving many year's worth of
supplies and equipment into the new facilities.
